Students from HISD competed in an essay contest sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Spanish Consulate of Houston. Johnston Middle School is proud to announce that Kelsey Hetrick was one of the six winners chosen from over 300 entries. The theme for this year’s essay was “Why I Enjoy Learning in Spanish”. She is accompanied by her teacher, Señor Miquel Kahale and our teaching assistant from Spain, Señorita Natalia Garcia-Gonzalez.
