We are proud to announce the results of our two students who competed in the Texas History Day contest in Austin on May 6th-7th. Competing in the Individual Performance category, our Elizabeth Martinsen gave an outstanding and moving performance entitled "Mail and Jail" and made the callbacks, which means the final eight in the state! Way to go Elizabeth!
Competing in the Historical Paper category, Bethany Vaughan wrote her paper titled "To Drop the Bomb on Not to Drop the Bomb--That is the Question." She went to the State History Fair as one of only eight finalists for an interview. At the History Fair Awards Ceremony, Bethany was awarded second place in all of Texas! This advances her to the NATIONAL History Day contest in Washington D.C./Maryland! NATIONALS!! NATIONALS!!! June 12-16!!!
