Students from the broadcast journalism program at Johnston Middle School for the Performing and Visual Arts participated in the 5 Ways Education Pays Video Contest organized by the HISD and the College Board. The Greyhounds emerged victorious with a clean sweep, winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. All the winners were honored and recognized at the monthly February Board meeting. The judges remarked, "Their submissions were excellent, displaying their creativity and true understanding of the Five Ways Education Pays!"

1st and 2nd place winners won an iPad each while the 3rd place winners won an iPod.

2nd Place winners were Josenique Gerard ,C. Cweren and D. Thompson

3rd Place winners were J. Asante, T. Lewis , P. Campbell and E. Parkin
