Blue/Black jeans, slacks, skirt without holes or tears are acceptable. (No sweat pants, jogging suits, stretch pants or leggings)
Slacks and jeans are to fit at the waist (no baggy pants, no overalls)
Skirts are to be worn to the knee (no skorts, jumpers or dresses)
Only Solid white or grey polo style shirts
If skirts have a slit in the side, the slit cannot be more that six inches from the knee.
Only solid white, grey or purple shirts may be worn under the polo style shirt.
No midriff blouses
No Capri pants
No hats or other headgear (including sunglasses, headbands...)
Sweaters/jackets worn during the day will be solid white, gray, or purple only.
(Other styles or colors must be left in the locker unless there are exceptions because of temperature control problems.)
Shoes: must be enclosed. No sandals or open-toed shoes.
Note: This dress code will be enforced at school and at all school functions unless notified by the school; i.e. field trip permission form, notice of special event, or any notice on the monthly Johnston Update/Calendar.
NO electronic devices, beepers or cell phones may be used or be visible during the school day. This includes text messaging. If inappropriately used or visible during the school day, cell phones will be confiscated and a $15 fee assessed. Electronic devices will be confiscated and only returned to a parent.
