The Johnston Band students, under the direction of Mr. Craig Green, participated in the All-City Band Auditions on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at West Briar Middle School with over 150 students from the district competing. We are proud to announce that thirty-six Johnston students were chosen for the All-City Band and these students will make up more than one third of the All City Band with a total of 33 members out of 81 chairs. Johnston will also hold the most section leader positions of any single school with five of twelve.  The Johnston Band program has long been a successful leader among Middle School band programs in HISD and ranks among the best programs in the state.
