The LOTE Department (Languages Other Than English Department) of Johnston Middle School is a group of teachers who are dedicated to helping each student develop his or her skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing a second or even third language. We provide opportunities for students to learn a language from the beginning level or continue their study of a language in more advanced classes. For students of Johnston and our International Language Academy, we offer language courses in Chinese, Japanese, French, and Spanish.
